Legs but no body

Nothing really new except I did get the hard copy of my Marti report come through which also included a new door tag since mine was missing. Although the car will be far from concours or even a run of the mill resoration, I thought it would be a nice touch to remind me of what it was.

My parts section has been growing, and although most of these parts are from when I stripped down the 302. Thanks to another forum member I managed to pick up some steelies to fit once mine finally does arrive. The rims that are on the car presently look good and so to the tyres. Having a chat to him about the plans for mine and he might be able to help me source a 351 Windsor if I decide to go down that path. The plans of engine and performance is still unclear and I am playing with different ideas at the moment.

On that note it shouldn't be long now until the import permits arrive final documentation was sent to them yesterday as they wanted more information, so now its back to the waiting game.

Thanks Kevo...Kevin Marti that is!

I knew it would take some time before the car would arrive, and me being impatient decided to get a deluxe Marti report done. Marti report basically finds out for the client all the information about their vehicle including statistics.

By clicking anywhere on this report will open it up to be more legible.

Motor: Check Donor Car: Check

Finally i have sourced a car and it hasn't taken that long at all!
It is a 1967 C code Automatic coupe coming from california looks like the motor has been sprayed which is a good sign its had work done fairly recently, which isn't any concern to me really since that motor will be taken out and stripped to see which block is in better condition

The interior is a total mess and hopefully some of it can be resalvaged and sold, one floor plate will need rewelding the others are perfect with no rust, so now the fun part of waiting months for her to arrive i guess there will be no new updates until she gets here!

In the beginning...

First of all thankyou and welcome! this blog intends to be a complete run down of my progress and work I will be doing in rebuilding a mustang (yet to be found) and its engine (already in my posession). So it is a little weird that i already have the motor before the car but either way it will need to be rebuilt since I don't want just stock internals. so this is what I have done so far.....

I obtained a 302 windsor 2valve from a forum member.....

Not in a very clean or nice state but this is how I wanted the engine as it was going to be fully rebuilt from block up....
However I didn't realise it was actually worse then i first thought lol...

And thats it so far it is a very very very long on going project with no finish date in mind but do know it will be on going for 5+ years. My next step is now to source a 67/68 mustang coupe which will be the donor car for this motor and hopefully will get one from the states soon!
